The Recorder has records dated back to 1841 to present. Those records include Land transfers and Marriage Licenses. Birth and Death records from 1882 to 1892, are located in the County Clerks Office.
The public is welcome to do research for family genealogy, marriages, century farms,subdivision plats and restrictions.
As of November 1993 , all records have been computerized. Which is accessible to the public, banks, title companies and researchers on a public computer in the Recorder’s Office.
The office also has Original Marriage Licenses dated 1934 to 1994, which are available to the parties involved in the marriage. Below is a list of fees for recording documents:
